Mike Weston is a founding member of Lederer Weston Craig, PLC. He is a Past President of DRI, The Voice of The Defense Bar. Mike is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the International Association of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, ABOTA and a Fellow of the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mike has been recognized by Chamber USA for Business as one of only 3 Iowa lawyers given a Band 1, the highest rating in Insurance Litigation. He also been recognized as a Great Plains and Iowa Super Lawyer. Mike currently serves as President Elect of Lawyers For Civil Justice. He is a Past President of the National Foundation for Judicial Excellence. He is a Past President of the Iowa Defense Counsel Association and Linn County Bar Association. He previously served as a Governor on the board of the Iowa State Bar Association. Mike has also been involved in civic and economic development activities. He is a Past Board Chair of the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce and past member of the board of Priority One. Mike has also been involved in many other boards, commissions and activities, has been a frequent speaker on substantive legal topics and the business of law, and has facilitated workshops and retreats on leadership and long range planning.
