Jamie is a partner at Hood Law Firm, LLC in Charleston, South Carolina. Jamie focuses his civil trial practice in the following areas: products liability, commercial litigation, professional negligence, and admiralty and maritime law. He also serves as national trial counsel for corporations handling cases across the country. He has tried over seventy-five cases since joining the Hood Law Firm. He is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys and currently serves on its Executive Council. He also serves as the Secretary of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys’ Association having previously served on its Board of Directors. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. Jamie earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the South at Sewanee, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2002 and obtained an LLM in Admiralty Maritime Law from Tulane University in 2003. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of South Carolina and United States Court of Appeals Fourth Circuit.
