Practice and Personal Background

I have spent my entire legal career of 34 years as a trial attorney at Clausen Miller P.C. I have been a Shareholder in the Firm for over 20 years and served on the Firm's Board of Directors for over 10 years. I have tried jury and bench trials on behalf of defendants in matters ranging from products liability, construction negligence, motor vehicle and professional liability. I have been admitted pro hac vice in states from Massachusetts to California and have an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell based on the evaluations submitted by my peers. I have served as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program for over 20 years. I have served on the Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee and represented pro bono litigants in the United States District Court Northern District of Illinois. I am licensed to practice in the State of Illinois , the United States District Courts of the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois, the United States District Courts of the Northern District of Indiana and the Western District of Wisconsin. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Purdue University in 1983 and my J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in 1989 where I served on the Moot Court Board and was elected to the Order of Barristers. I have conducted a number of seminars on construction litigation, transportation litigation, products liability, premises liability and wrongful death actions.
