Ms. Ward received her law degree in 1987 from the Georgetown University Law Center, and her undergraduate degree from Loyola College in Baltimore, magna cum laude. She is an experienced trial attorney admitted in both Maryland and the District of Columbia, and has also defended and tried cases in Virginia, New Jersey, Florida and California. As a principal of Ward & Herzog, LLC, a women-owned litigation firm in Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Ward’s practice includes commercial litigation, professional liability, long term care, and insurance coverage and defense. She also assists businesses with employment, risk management, trademark, and business dispute matters. Ms. Ward has written and spoken frequently in her areas of practice. She has been an active leader of state and national professional organizations, including the Board of Directors of DRI and former President of Maryland Defense Counsel. She was a faculty member for the IADC Trial Academy in 2011 and a faculty member of the FDCC Deposition Boot Camp in December 2015.
