Practice and Personal Background

Over forty years with Jackson Kelly PLLC, I have tried a wide variety of cases including medical liability and health care products liability, environmental, employer/premises liability defense and defense of churches. I have handled a variety of class actions involving water contamination, mass tort cases arising from claims of negligent credentialing against hospitals, and class actions over medical records charges. I spend a good amount of time defending utilities in West Virginia and other states and am national coordinating counsel for litigation involving a religious organization. I have a fairly significant appellate practice in state and federal courts. I am a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. I am the chair of Jackson Kelly PLLC's General Litigation Group, which includes trial lawyers across the firm who represent defendants in civil litigation.
